We follow Talk for Writing to support our children's progress in their written work.  This is married together with Place Value for Grammar from the Grammasuarus approach.  An outline of Talk for Writing, how it works and how parents can help is below. 

Please find below more information for our reading genre overviews for the year.  Each class also has in place a reading journey, which ensures a balanced view of fiction, non-fiction and poetry being used and taught throughout the year.  After the children have completed and are efficient in their phonics knowledge and use Bug Club, we use DERIC to support and continue our reading journey in school - you can meet him below. 

Class 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 have included their genre overviews on their full yearly overview on the main section of this area.
