Year 6 Works of Art

Year 6 have really enjoyed learning about the life of Kandinsky and have completed activities linked to his artwork.

They looked at the different paintings that Kandinsky created and wrote their own creative response to these, discussing what they liked, disliked and the similarities and differences between the pieces that they could see. They have also used the painting Composition VIII to identify as many different angles as they could, and then they used a protractor to measure these. Year 6 finished their Kandinsky fortnight by dressing up and listening to live music, creating their own artwork in response to this. Well done Year 6! What a lovely start to the new academic year!
