This week Year 1 received a set of instructions from the Tiger in our story 'The Tiger Who Came to Tea'. The instructions had an ingredient list and directions to follow to make some lemonade. First we analysed the instructions and spoke about the important parts that tell us what to do and how to make it. 

Then we started the fun part of following the instructions to make the lemonade. We had to pass around the lemons and squeeze them to get the juice out. After that we added some sugar to the water and lemon juice. We took turns mixing it until it went cloudy and we couldn't see the bits of sugar. Then we did a taste test. Year 1 surprised themselves with their lemonade making skills and everyone asked for more and said it was 'super tasty'.
