SIAMS

Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools

All Church of England dioceses and the Methodist Church use the National Society’s framework for the Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) under Section 48 of the Education Act 2005. The SIAMS Evaluation Schedule sets out the expectations for the conduct of the Statutory Inspection of Anglican, Methodist and ecumenical Schools under Section 48 of the Education Act 2005.

The SIAMS inspection explores the question, “How effective is the school’s distinctive Christian vision, established and promoted by leadership at all levels, in enabling pupils and adults to flourish?”

This is explored through six inspection questions:

1. How does the school’s theologically rooted Christian vision enable pupils and adults to flourish?

2. How does the curriculum reflect the school’s theologically rooted Christian vision?

3. How is Collective Worship enabling pupils and adults to flourish spiritually?

4. How does the theologically rooted Christian vision create a culture in which pupils and adults are treated well?

5. How does the school’s theologically rooted Christian vision create a culture of justice and responsibility?

6. Is the religious education curriculum effective?

School leaders and inspectors will work together to create a comprehensive evidence base and this will be evaluated to make judgements. These judgements will put schools into one of two categories.

Outstanding SIAMS grading :-)

We had our SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) on Monday 5th December 2016. We were graded as an Outstanding SIAMS school across all areas of the inspection process, which include: how we meet the needs of all of our learners, the impact of collective worship on our school community and the effectiveness of leadership and management of our school. Please take a few minutes to read our report, which is below. We are extremely proud of the outcome of the inspection and the final overall grading we received :-)

New SIAMS inspection report September 2024 :-)

Please find attached our amazing SIAMS report :-)

I think it captures the heart, soul and true essence of our school and what we try hard to achieve in the school community.  It also shows the unwavering hard work, determination and passion that the each member of the school team gives and adds to our school community - I am very proud of the staff! But of course, I’m extremely proud of the children who could articulate beautifully what makes Holy Trinity their special school for them to feel safe, cared for, to learn in and to thrive.  This helps us to ensure that all of our little people have the best possible start that we can give them.

Thank you for your amazing support with everything we do!
